The Dinosaur 2016 comp, June 26 - July 2, will not be happening.

Hopefully, the USHPA insurance situation will be worked out by its March 1
deadline, but we cannot afford to take the chance that it might not.

The Town of Dinosaur town council voted to provide $5,000 toward expenses and
prize money; the Moffat County commissioners were voting tomorrow to kick in
another $10,000 - $15,000. The local BLM officials have always been very
supportive.

We have the BLM site permit for another 4 years, but it is not valid without the
million dollar insurance policy. The locals want to reestablish the area as an
annual contest and free flying destination.

Free flying is not affected and Dinosaur is an excellent site for a relatively
easy hundred miler. Stop in at the B&B restaurant or Town Hall where, assuming
he has time, Mayor Blakely can provide directions to launch and a list of local
drivers.

A Dinosaur 2017 contest is planned.
