2014 Women's Worlds in Annecy, France

For anyone who doesnt know, Linda Salamone and I will be
representing the US at the Womens World Championships in Annecy, France this
summer. Linda and I are basically the only girls left competing in the US. The
trip to Annecy is expensive - getting the two of us and our gliders, harnesses,
etc. there, along with accommodation, rental car, retrieve and all that
wonderful French cuisine takes a lot. Neither Linda or I have much in the way of
sponsorship and frankly, we couldnt do it without the support of the wonderful
hang gliding community were part of.
Were writing today to ask for your support for this competition. Anything you
can pitch in is hugely appreciated and thanks to the wonderful efforts of the
Foundation for Freeflight, can be doubled. Heres how it works: when its time
to renew your USHPA membership, under the Tax Deductible Contributions
section, you just have to check the box that says FFF Womens Hang Gliding
Competition and put in any amount you can spare (honestly, absolutely anything
will help). When you donate this way, the Foundation for Freeflight will match
whatever you contribute. So, if you give $20, theyll put $40 into the womens
fund. If you give $100, theyll put $200 in. Any amount up to $500 will be
matched and will provide invaluable support to the women in competition hang
gliding.
So, if you appreciate all the work we do organizing the Flytec Americus Cup and
the Santa Cruz Flats Race and you just like having a few girls in the sport,
please help us out!!
We also still have plenty of commemorative t-shirts for sale if youd like one!
