I have been informed by other pilots who wanted me to correct this
error on my part that contrary to what we were told in the pilot meeting on Mt.
Buffalo launch, the cafe/restaurant at the Mt. Buffalo lodge/chalet is indeed
open, but the chalet is not open for lodging. Also one and perhaps two of the
tracks were apparently open for... mehr

often days were the sun comes out in the afternoon, even though it is cloudy in
the morning.

We do have a not so well maintained and somewhat difficult to set
up at north launch next to the Emu launch. It appears to me that we have given
up on this launch and while we had only a small chance of launching from Mt.
Buffalo, we could have had a much better chance of launching from Emu 2. No
matter what the difficulties. Perhaps the... mehr

Overcast all day with the sky spitting every now and then. The day
was flyable and safe for the most part, but seventy odd pilots in front of
launch with barely enough lift to stay up, if that, would not be a happy
prospect. So Heather called the day and then called a spot landing contest for
$500 to the winner. It looked like Olav Opsanger... mehr

of the opinion that we could have run tasks on all three days (as we had 5 km
visibility on each day), but today the smoke was a bit less. Still there seemed
