Wilotree Park was full of hang glider pilots on Sunday getting
ready to go around the Green Swamp. I send out an email each evening or morning
to those pilots asking about the soarcast and the task. Then word gets around to

The forecast is for an east wind at about 10 mph at 4,000'. Cu's
are expected by not very thick, only a few, widely scattered. We expected to get
over 5,000'. I would dress with five layers, but the light gloves.
There were no cu's around us at Wilotree Park, they were all to the south so we

It probably isn't ready to be announced by Wills Wing but Pedro
Garcia is flying Claudia's and says that it is a wonderful glider. He flew just
behind Larry Bunner who was flying his Wills Wing brand new T3 144  today
for about ten kilometers and they had the same glide ratio. Both Pedro and Larry
don't weigh that much.A good flight... mehr

We were slow, but we hung in there and made it back. I had to
search around after towing to 2,400' and climbed to 3,400' at 160 fpm.

The lift continued to be weak and I had to just hang onto what I had as I heard

Finally with light winds, cu's and a high forecasted cloud base we
headed for our favorite task, around the Green Swamp (over lots and lots of
trees).

Greg Dinauer was up first and I got pulled up at about 12:45 (11:45 sun time).
It was easy to get off at 1,500' when you're in 900 fpm (while on tow). Just
kept going up at 250 fpm to 3,600'... mehr

The fight isn't just between Saudi Arabia and Russia, that is just
the fallout from Putin's desire to put a lot of US oil companies into default
(they are all highly leveraged). This means a bust in Big Spring (a boom and
bust town). Which means that we as customers for hotel rooms (and AirBnB houses)
