Spectacular flights in the deserts landscape of Arizona. The Whetstone Mountains lie 70 miles southeast of Tucson and are a Hang Glider line.

Flug
One can fly here in controllable stronger winds, therefore you should use corresponding material. At the start, you need a good Setup technology.
Schwierigkeit
The land area is large however full of Cactai and other stinging plants that can be quite unpleasant. Moreover you should not underestimate the extreme heat.

| Anfahrt: |
From Tucson along the Route 10 until Exit 281, then take the Route 83 south for 25 Miles to Sonoita. Along the Route 82 until the Mile marker 43 head then north along the Granite Peak Road. Go through three gates, continue right until the sign for USFS National Forest on your left. You will find the landing zone here. The street continuing to the starting zone requires 4 wheel drive. |
