The world is almost at a standstill, it is unclear when we can take to the air
again. So now is a probably good time to update our equipment, for example with
the latest version of the software for the vario classics from Flytec and
Bräuniger.

We have been asked to display values above 50 for the current and required
glide, this is now done. Up to now it could happen in rare cases that the vario
did not recover from a short GPS connection loss, and only received position
data again after a restart. This is fixed with the new versions, along with a
few other small improvements. Additionally, there is support for a newer GPS
module that we have been using for some time.

The last 18 months have been quite different from what we had expected, both in
business and in private, with many emergencies and other unpleasant events that
required our full attention. Consequently, there was no time for my “heart
blood” project (as we say in German), the Volirium P1. But now - not least
because of the restrictions caused by the Corona pandemic – it seems that I will
finally be able to continue working on the P1 software in the next weeks and
months. More information about this as soon as a release date comes into view.
