Finally, exciting news! Fort Hunter Liggett has shown up with
equipment to grade the road  and add road base to the worst areas. They
brought up a skip loader, dump truck, grader & best of all, manpower! To date,
Kritz has delivered 6 loads of road base, weighing 120,000 tons for each load.
We also haven't had a drop of rain in this extreme fire season so we also hired
Kritz's water truck to come up and water the road base. The water hardens the
base like concrete. Already the road is vastly improved and so much safer. We
put a vehicle counter on the road and we got an average 125 cars on weekends so
this road work will really help.

Thank you all for your donations in making this project a reality. Also, a
special thank you to Foundation for Free Flight who gave us a matching grant
