Stephane Malbos, CIVL President, writes:
CIVL has announced recently the suspension of the 10th FAI World
Paragliding Accuracy Championships in Vrac, Serbia (May 15 to 25, 2019). CIVL
and the organizers took this decision in agreement. It does not mean that the
championship is cancelled or moved somewhere else. It means that we are taking
time to assess the difficult political and sportive situation in coordination
with FAI Head Office and Executive Board.
We will keep you informed on further developments. A decision should come at the
latest before January 3, 2019.

There are principles that are supposed to be equal for all
countries. But when you see that they are NOT obligatory for some counties and
for some they are declared obligatory this is a question to stop and consider
better what is going on.
That clarification news went out to explain that CIVL at present just takes
time-out to consider the situation better. Because the discovered problem is
related to more than 1 country but to several dozen. A correct approach shall be
worked out.
This is high politics (UN, IOC) I know little about and cannot comment. Please
wait for official info or ask any of the Bureau members for official comment.
But I think nobody can tell you anything right now too early.
