We were presently surprised and quite delighted to receive the
“Ambassador” award for our contribution to the Forbes local community presented
from the Forbes Rotary Club.

Len and Kirsten Paton were at the ceremony in Forbes on Australia Day attended
by 300 people.

Other runners up were the Forbes Rugby Club for winning the regional
premiership, Yellow Bee business for developing the local honey factory, a
boutique wine maker, and other rural community projects. All the other
recipients simply came up and received from the Mayor, Graham Miller, a framed
certificate after the MC gave some background to their achievement.

After all the others we presented with their certificates, the "Forbes
Flatlands" was the last called - "And the winner is...".

This award belongs to our whole team and the hang gliding community who make
this event possible year after year.
