Emma Martin, 31, died when her hang glider came down 360km west of Sydney, about 5:45pm on Saturday.

She died during a training run at the annual Forbes Flatlands Hang Gliding Championships after her glider went down while attempting to land in a paddock.

It is believed an onlooker observed an issue with the way the hang glider was moving and informed emergency services of an impending crash.

Bystanders rushed to her aid and performed CPR before paramedics arrived.

Emergency services continued CPR but sadly Ms. Martin could not be revived. (Herald Sun)
