Melissa Kmetz pretends to drive a boat owned by Rod Brown while
Brown demonstrates how his equipment can work like a cross between hang gliding
and parasailing. Brown lives on Camano Island and wants to set up a business
offering this adventure somewhere around Port Susan. Ive got all the skills
and the equipment, but no cash, Brown said, while assembling his gear in
Heritage Park for a photo. He said its possible to get up to 3,000 feet high
and the world record for distance is 400 miles. It was Davis Straub and he kept
catching updrafts, Brown said.
