We have 3/16" and 1/8" shock cord that you can use to make an
elastic band on your down tube to hold your VG line when you pull on 1/2 VG for
aerotowing.

We will have precut pieces of cord, stainless steel shock cord clamps, and the
tool specially made for crimping them:

Place the cord in the crimp:

Put the crimping tool around the crimp and squeeze:

You do this around the downtube, so it is a little more difficult as it also has
to be tight when you do it.

This will be available for the Quest Air Open National Championships, the Big
Spring Nationals, and perhaps at other competitions.

I'll use 1/8" shock cord instead of 3/16":

This has to be done while the shock cord is wrapped around the downtube so it
can't be done in advance (unless you are willing to remove the wires).
