Members of the Sandia Soaring Association and Mountain Flyers converged for a true New Mexico fly-in at San Antonio Mountain. I think we may have paradise at our backdoor! Desert Training Hill (and the world's biggest rattlesnake)
I've had this video sitting on my laptop for a few months... I figured I'd upload so one can get an idea of the MountainFlyers t-hill situated right next to the Sunport. Our launch is at airport elevation (it's a steppe) and glide to the LZ 150ft below. You drive past a few large stone rattlesnakes and through a seemingly infinite amout of woops/moguls to get to the launch site.
