Placivel - East Launch - Paragliding Venezuela.
Placivel its a Popular Paraglider launch in la Victoria, Aragua State, Venezuela, it had two main Launch Zones: "Valley" (Valle) South Wind, just park your car, pick your gear and deploy it in the front of the restaurant, have a nice flight!
If the wind its Blowing from the east, you have to do a 20 min. walk to the other side of the Hill, there are two main launch zones: "Up" (terrain its a bit rought, bad for canopy and lines)but you gain a few meters since you launch with major height, this its good in weak days.
"Down": more room for wings, grass (now dry) more friendly for the canopy and easiest launch, in video I launch from the East Down launch.

Precision paragliding training day at Glenshee Oct 2007
A number of the ex-BHPA pilots and some a few new to the sport met up at Glenshee south car park for an exclent training day, Alan Coffin started with Dual Control tandem training on G-BZJI before switching to his own Nova to work on what he had been learning, towards the end of the day the remaining pilots (mainly the Mtn rescue lads) hiked part way up the side of the Cairnwell for the last flights of the day, all voted the day a BIG sucess :-) Precision Paragliding providing an alternative to the BHPA since the late 90's for BHPA & ex-BHPA pilots wishing to RE-train or new pilot entering the sport who do NOT wish to risk the standards/accident rates produced by 'normal' PG theory, practices & procedures!

Honolulu Hawaii Makapu'u Beach Paragliders- 4/21/08
Day after Kawaii Kon 2008 ended, Emily, Tavi and Rikki (of Shutterbox manga and voice of Gir fame), and I took a trip together around Honolulu.
Near the end of the day we stopped at a rest area, slight south of Makapu'u Beach, just after spotting a few paragliders.
Once in a while they'd, as you'll see, swoop in and give a show for the rest stop audience. Funniest moment- near the end of the video, one of the gliders unintentionally sneaks up on an unsuspecting rest area visitor that sends them screaming.
Tavi, as she points out, a third glider popped out of nowhere. Rikki asks where are they coming from, and is answered with another great Rikki question, "Maybe the mountains are giving birth to them?"
Camera and editing are created by me. Dialog by our GPS, Tavi, and Rikki, who are in the shots. Em wasn't feeling to good and she stayed back in the car.
