Great flying area near Grenoble and Gap.

The walk is easy and take off, flying and the area are simply impressive. Serre Poncon is at your feet and this all the more worth while the hiking.
Flew in the area in sept 2004.

Flug
Take off is east and south - west.
Do not wait too long into the day as thermals get quite impressive in the summer months. Early morning and late evening are best.
Landing in my case was Embrun at the lake however if you left the car at the col du morgonnet the obviously land there.
Besonderheiten und Webcam
very picturesque
nice campsites to the north either at the lake with facilities or my preferred at the Lac d St Apollinaire with spectacular view again and more remote. |
Walk and Fly
| Ausgangspunkt: |
Col de Pontis and then Col du Morgonnet.
Follow the piste further which turns later into a footpath. Reaching the top - plenty of choice for take off. However enjoy the view first and do not rush it. |
