Flug
Starting is possible here in a strong wind. You fly in the direction of Shelley Beach. At the start place, you will find a steep falling away cliff with no possibilities at all to land below. In addition you should try it to get away from the cliff, in order to be able to land at the beach or behind the rocky slope.
Take caution in an easy wind: for here one can easily be pressed at the cliff. In strong wind, it can happen that you must make use of the street.
Please fly here only if you can land very well. It can be hard if the wind is strong to come down and land. As a last resort you can land behind the street by the arising wind but be careful of the water.

Anfahrt:
You can reach "Point King" from Albany, by the Senic Coastal Drive in the direction of Middleton Beach (Marine Drive). After Mount Clarence you comt to the sea side parking area. Park at the bitumen carpark. Here you will find information specifically for the Paraglider and the stairway leading up to the start site.
Sonstiges:
Albany is 400km south of Perth. It is a large coastal region with all wind directions. It is know as one of the best flying locations in Western Australia if you want to spend a couple of crazy hours in the air.

If the wind blows strongly out of SSE, Perkins Beach is a crazy place to Paraglide. The flight zone is at the western end of its "sister" Mutton Bird. Crazy feeling to be lifted into the air so quickly from such a small sand dune.

If the wind is not permitting starting at Shelley's, one should try this place, it lies somewhat further below the cliff. Crazy thermals, crazy white beach, great for tourists.
